Sarah Barkley

I have been in private practice for 20 years with my specialty focusing on individuals resolving historic traumas and women balancing all of the complications of womanhood in a fast paced, demanding world. My style is informed from my diverse experience. I have worked in adolescent residential treatment, FBI consulting, an expert witness and a graduate school professorship; all the while working with my private practice clients. In the last several years, I have been sought out as a corporate consultant and speaker to discuss how our negative experiences and traumas shape our behaviors as high intensity professionals.

The untapped magnificence I see in my clients never ceases to inspire and amaze me. Anyone who is willing to do hard work is already a gift to this World! I've grown bored of many things in my life but this work....never!

My therapeutic style is active and challenging. I don't tend to sit silently. My approach melds traditional psychological approaches and life coaching modalities. I feverishly seek out new knowledge from multiple disciplines such as biology, neurology and animal behavior research.

My goal is to leverage my 20 years of clinical experience to get clients effectively and efficiently to their desired goals. I consider the work I do to be an art of subtleties learned over my thousands of data points of client experiences and the current science on how human brains process and evolve.

We are going to hit the ground running. You don't have to have all of your thoughts organized, jump right in with what is important to share when you walk in the door and the details will come as they are needed.
