Great to meet you!

I come with over two decades of experience working in various mental health settings including community mental health, healthcare, and non-profit organizations. I have a masters in social work and PhD in Social Welfare. I spent the first half of my social work career working with young people impacted by poverty, community violence, mental health challenges, and substance misuse. For the last 14 years, I worked (as a clinical social worker, clinical supervisor, and director) in community healthcare in an innovative program aimed to support individuals with chronic illness, mental health challenges, and/or substance misuse.

My approach to therapy

When there is an imbalance in our lives, we may feel it in our emotional reactions, our bodies, our relational dynamics, and/or our outlook on life and the future. Many of us seek to cultivate meaning, intention, and connection. Finding space to ground, explore self with curiosity, and create greater alignment between self and community can be a first step to doing so. I take a holistic approach to mental wellness in my work with adults at all stages in life, incorporating somatic, harm reduction, and mindfulness strategies to improving quality of life.

What you can expect from me

By looking for support, your intuition is sending a message that now may be a time for healing. You hold the knowledge of your story and experiences. I invite you to reach out with an openness to growth, what that may entail, and where that path may lead.
