Great to meet you!

I’m Sarah, a Licensed Professional Counselor with two decades of experience as a paramedic in the U.S. and overseas, and I bring that real-world perspective into therapy. I specialize in working with first responders, veterans, chronic stress, chronic pain, and trauma, and I’m especially interested in helping adults who feel overwhelmed or stuck. I also offer Christian integration counseling for clients who want faith to be part of their healing process.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and judgment-free, with a focus on meeting you exactly where you are. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed methods including CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy to help clients build insight, find practical solutions, and move toward healing. I aim to create a space where culture, beliefs, and lived experience are respected and incorporated into the work.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a calm, respectful environment where we talk about what’s bringing them in, what they hope to change, and what feels most important right now. I’ll listen closely, ask questions to understand your story and needs, and begin shaping a plan that feels realistic and supportive. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about next steps.
