Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarah. So many of us go through life longing for someone to truly listen—someone who offers understanding without judgment. My path to becoming a therapist was born out of my own personal struggles, which gives me a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through various walks of life, from helping developmentally disabled children to working with individuals facing severe mental illness and housing insecurity. Today, my primary focus is helping adults navigate the complex intersection of mental health and addiction. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a big fan of organizing, spending quality time with my family, and I have a lifelong love for owls.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is entirely collaborative, human-centered, and focused on your unique strengths. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model, so I blend different styles—like cognitive behavioral strategies and trauma-informed care—into conversations that feel natural rather than academic. We will work as a team to uncover the tools that make sense for your life, always moving at a pace that feels secure for you. My goal is to provide a warm, down-to-earth space where you can drop your guard, explore your challenges, and discover the resilient version of yourself that has been there all along.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step into therapy can feel incredibly intimidating, so your only job in our first session is simply to show up as you are. We will use this initial time to get to know each other, chat about what brought you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to get out of our time together. There is absolutely no pressure to share everything right away; we will go only as deep as you are comfortable with. Think of this first meeting as a gentle, low-pressure conversation to ensure we are a good fit and to begin building the safe foundation you need to reach your goals.
