Great to meet you!

I’m a psychiatric provider with 12+ years of healthcare experience, including many years of clinical experience within Mount Sinai’s network as well as other Magnet-designated leading NYC institutions. I’ve treated adults with a wide range of mental health concerns: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, and personality disorders: often alongside complex medical or social challenges. My background includes high-acuity emergency psychiatry, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and telepsychiatry. This depth of experience allows me to approach each case with clinical expertise, compassion, and cultural sensitivity. I'm currently licensed to see clients in both New York and Maryland, and I offer flexible telepsychiatry appointments to make care more accessible with evening/weekend hours. I'm also currently completing a doctoral research project on the role of AI in psychiatry.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and individualized. I take time to understand each patient’s symptoms, life context, and goals in depth before developing a treatment plan. I am conservative and thoughtful with medication management, and I prescribe controlled substances only when clinically necessary. Care is not limited to prescriptions—I focus on understanding patterns, stressors, and functioning so treatment feels grounded and comprehensive.

As the daughter of first-generation Asian immigrants with a family history of mental illness, I understand the impact of cultural stigma and barriers to care. I value building strong clinical relationships and take the time to know my patients beyond symptoms, not just prescribing medication but truly understanding their lived experience.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling heard, less overwhelmed, and more in control of their mental health. Your first session is a thorough, unhurried evaluation where we explore your history, current concerns, and what you are hoping to change. We will review symptoms, past treatment, and begin building a clear, individualized plan together. As a wife and mom to a toddler, I understand how complex and demanding life can feel, and I offer evening and weekend appointments to help make care more accessible. The goal is for you to leave with clarity, direction, and a sense that you are working with someone who understands you, not just your diagnosis.
