Great to meet you!

Life can be complicated, and sometimes the challenges we face aren't ones we ever saw coming. I've spent much of my career having conversations that people often don't know how to start. Conversations about loss, uncertainty, changing relationships, difficult decisions, and what happens when life looks different than we expected.

My background is primarily in healthcare and hospice, where I've worked closely with adults, older adults, and families experiencing grief, chronic illness, caregiver stress, complicated family dynamics, and major life transitions. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how our relationships, circumstances, and personal histories shape the way we experience the world.

I genuinely enjoy getting to know people and understanding what makes them who they are. I bring warmth, curiosity, honesty, and humor to my work, and I believe that building a genuine connection is one of the most important parts of a successful therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and focused on understanding the whole person, not just the challenges that brought them to therapy. I recognize that our relationships, experiences, and circumstances all influence how we think, feel, and navigate life's difficulties.

I believe therapy should provide space to process emotions while also encouraging meaningful growth and change. Together, we'll explore what's going on beneath the surface, identify strengths, gain new perspectives, and develop practical ways to move forward.

My style is warm, engaged, and straightforward with a healthy dose of humor when appropriate. I'll listen without judgement, ask thoughtful questions, offer honest feedback, and gently challenge you when needed. Therapy can involve difficult conversations, but I don't believe every moment has to feel heavy. My goal is for you to leave our conversations feeling both understood and better equipped to navigate life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore what brought you to therapy, and discuss what you're hoping to gain from our work together. We'll talk about what's going on in your life, the challenges you're facing, and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you.

Just as importantly, this is a time for us to build rapport, get comfortable with one another, and see how we might work together. My goal is to create an environment where conversation feels natural, you feel comfortable being yourself, and we can begin building a foundation for our work moving forward.
