Great to meet you!

I specialize in trauma, family dynamics, adolescent concerns, rural mental health, and the unique stressors faced by farming and agricultural communities. I understand that life can feel overwhelming when you are carrying stress, trauma, family conflict, anxiety, grief, or major life changes. I work with clients to better understand what they are experiencing, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting growth.

I am especially passionate about making mental health care feel accessible, relatable, and free of judgment. I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and real. My goal is to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. I use a compassionate, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and client-centered approach to help individuals and families work through difficult experiences, build resilience, and find hope again.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my hope is that you feel supported, empowered, and reminded that healing is possible.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and practical. I work to meet clients where they are, understand their story without judgment, and help them build the tools they need to heal, grow, and feel more in control of their lives.

I focus on helping clients understand how trauma, stress, family dynamics, and life experiences impact their emotions, behaviors, relationships, and sense of self. My goal is not to tell clients what is “wrong” with them, but to help them understand what has happened, how it has affected them, and what steps can support healing.

I value both compassion and accountability. I want clients to feel heard and supported, while also feeling empowered to make meaningful changes. I use a strengths-based approach to help individuals and families build resilience, improve communication, develop healthier coping skills, and restore hope. I also strive to provide an inclusive and LGBTQ+ affirming space where clients feel respected, accepted, and supported as they are.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to begin sharing what brought them to therapy. My goal is to get to know you, understand what you are experiencing, and learn more about your history, strengths, concerns, and goals.

The first session is not about having everything figured out. It is about beginning the process, asking questions, and helping you feel comfortable. We may talk about current stressors, past experiences, relationships, family dynamics, symptoms, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I will move at a pace that feels respectful and manageable while also helping guide the conversation so we can better understand your needs.

Clients can expect me to be compassionate, honest, and engaged. I want you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer idea of how we can work together moving forward.
