My approach to therapy

I strive to achieve a comfortable rapport and build beneficial therapeutic relationships with clients to help each person work towards their specific goals of therapy. This involves the use of cognitive behavioral techniques, as well as positive reassurance and building coping strategies for managing strong emotions.

What you can expect from me

My typical therapy sessions can look like a conversation or mutual discussion, focused on gaining insight, with the aim of progressing gradually towards the goals that my clients have set-up for themselves. Also, some sessions clients prefer, or need, to vent their emotions and release pent-up feelings, which is also a productive and vital use of time during therapy sessions. Respect and trust are key for a successful therapeutic experience, and for a productive working relationship between the therapist and client.

All initial intake sessions will be made through telehealth. In-person sessions will be made available upon request, according to the client's preference.
