Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate a myriad of issues. To accomplish this, I draw on skills from both my formal education (including two Masters degrees and many hours of Continuing Education) as well as work experiences in schools, facilities, and private practice.

My approach to therapy

When working with children and teens, since parents are such an integral part of children's lives, I strongly believe in parent involvement in therapy. I do this in such a way that protects the child's confidentiality, as this is a priority.

Regarding couples, I primarily use the Gottman method, and am a Gottman Level 1 certified therapist. The Gottman method is research based, and involves tayloring a relationship's strengths to work on areas of need.

With adults, I use an eclectic approach depending on client need, generally blending techniques to connect with the client while nudging them towards their goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect feel validated in a welcoming, relaxed environment. We will work together to decide on realistic goals for therapy, and check in on how this is going on a regular basis.
