Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned my BSW from Appalachian State University (2020) and my MSSW from the University of Tennessee (2022). I began my career as a case manager working with high-risk youth before transitioning into a therapist role with the same population. This early experience shaped my commitment to meeting clients with compassion, structure, and respect for their individual strengths.

Over time, I expanded my work to include adults in emergency services settings, supporting individuals navigating acute stress, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Across all settings, I maintain a strength-based approach that prioritizes autonomy, collaboration, and practical tools for change.

Outside of my work supporting clients, I place strong value on time with my family, which helps me stay grounded and balanced in both my personal and professional life.

My approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and problem sexual behaviors. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build insight, and move toward meaningful change.

My approach is strength-based and rooted in respect for individual autonomy. I believe each person is the expert in their own life, and my role is to collaborate with you to identify your goals, recognize your existing strengths, and develop practical tools to support growth and healing. Together, we will work at a pace that feels safe and empowering.

I have experience helping clients process trauma, manage overwhelming emotions, reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms, and address behaviors that may feel confusing or difficult to control. I integrate evidence-informed practices while tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs and values.

Seeking therapy is a courageous step. Whether you’re looking to build coping skills, process past experiences, or better understand patterns in your life, I am here to support you in creating lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is just as much an opportunity for you to get to know me as it is for me to learn about you. Therapy works best when it feels like a good fit, so we’ll use this time to explore what brings you in, what you hope to gain from therapy, and whether my approach feels supportive of your needs.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can ask questions, share at your own pace, and gain a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process. I’ll explain how sessions typically work, discuss confidentiality, and review any relevant background information to better understand your experiences.

We’ll also begin talking about your goals and what meaningful change looks like for you. I value autonomy in the therapeutic relationship, so we’ll collaborate on a plan that reflects your priorities, strengths, and preferences. My role is to support and guide—not to direct—so you remain actively involved in shaping your treatment.

You can expect our first session to feel conversational, collaborative, and centered on building a foundation of trust and clarity moving forward.
