Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Sasha Petrovick and I’m a licensed professional counselor. I received my Master's degree from Western Connecticut State University and have been providing individual counseling for over 7 years. I specialize in treating adults 18+ with depression, anxiety, relationship and trauma related issues. I am an animal and nature lover; my family includes 3 goats and 2 rescue dogs. In my free time, I like backpacking and being out in the mountains.

My approach to therapy

I'm a genuinely warm and empathetic person and that is my approach as a counselor as well. I’ll ask you questions to help you really dig into your thoughts and explore the issues that you are facing in life and I can also provide you with tools that you can use right away. I typically work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach and I also have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is very effective in learning to manage emotions and tolerate distress.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you grow as a person, whether that be developing new perspectives, breaking unhealthy patterns or getting support through a difficult time. We’ll work together to create your individual goals and check in periodically to track your progress. I also try to end each session with something for you to reflect on.
