Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Sean Burson, a licensed therapist in Washington and Idaho. My background includes work in hospice care, ministry, and military settings, which has shaped how I listen and care for people. I bring a grounded, compassionate presence and value building real trust with my clients. I believe our stories deeply shape who we are, and therapy can help us understand and rewrite them with intention and hope.

My approach to therapy

My training is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, and I take an eclectic approach that draws from several evidence-based methods. I focus on understanding patterns, relationships, and the deeper stories that influence how you see yourself and the world. Therapy with me is collaborative and personalized, integrating mind, body, spirit, and relationships. My goal is to help you gain insight, grow with confidence, and live in a way that aligns with your values and sense of purpose.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, your story, and what you hope will change. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you set the pace. My priority is helping you feel safe, understood, and confident that we’re working together toward meaningful, lasting wellbeing.
