Great to meet you!

Hi, My name is Sean O'Hara. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York with over 7 years of experience working in the Mental Health field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, and family/relationship issues. I graduated from Fordham University in 2017 with an MSW, and have worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities.

My approach to therapy

I am a solution-focused therapist with a person-centered approach. I strongly believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and identifying those things which motivate you as an individual in a judgement-free space. While I have specialty training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CT-R (Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, my approach is always tailored to your needs in a way we both see fit to meet your goals.

What you can expect from me

My purpose for you is to create a therapeutic atmosphere that will meet you where you are at while exploring where you want to be. Taking that first step to seek therapy can certainly be a challenge in and of itself, but if you are willing to take that step then I am committed to supporting and empowering you toward the life you are meant to lead. I look forward to working together!
