Great to meet you!

I am a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Writing, a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Master of Arts in Career Counseling.

A North Carolina native, I have worked in the mental health field for over 11 years and have been practicing as a licensed therapist since 2022. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Imago Relationship Therapy, allowing me to help individuals and couples develop healthier thought patterns, improve communication, and strengthen relationships.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustment concerns, relationship challenges, and a variety of other mental health and personal growth issues. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful and lasting changes.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic and client-centered. I believe in meeting clients where they are while working collaboratively to create a personalized plan that helps them reach where they want to be. I view each client as the expert on their own life, while my role as the therapist is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help them process experiences, evaluate patterns, reframe unhelpful beliefs, and challenge themselves in healthy, constructive ways. Together, we work toward meaningful goals that foster growth, resilience, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect to discuss what brought them to therapy while also giving me the opportunity to learn more about their background, life experiences, and the factors that have shaped their current circumstances. The primary goal of this initial session is to complete a comprehensive assessment and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship.

Clients will also have the opportunity to learn more about me, my therapeutic approach, and what they can expect throughout the counseling process. Together, we will collaboratively identify meaningful goals and develop a treatment plan that aligns with the client's unique needs, values, and desired outcomes.
