Great to meet you!

Looking for your purpose, trying to heal from childhood trauma, or maybe just looking for a safe space to talk and clear your thoughts? We often go through life carrying "Whys?" and "What Ifs" — my work is helping you turn those questions, your past, and even your fears into the fuel for your healing. I'm ShaDavias, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW from Johnson C. Smith University and 4 years of experience, providing telehealth therapy to adolescents and adults across North Carolina. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, end-of-life concerns, stress, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. If you want a therapist who's transparent, relatable, and invested in getting you to your next level — look no more. Heal on Purpose. "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." — Maya Angelou

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a safe, comfortable space where you can show up as your authentic self without fear of judgment — because everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy; I meet you where you are and take the time to understand your experiences, concerns, and goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT and Trauma-Focused CBT to recognize and shift painful patterns, ACT and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to build flexibility and emotional awareness, Psychodynamic work to understand the roots of what keeps showing up, and a Strength-Based lens that builds from what's already working in you. My style is conversational, supportive, and honest — we move at your pace, with room for growth, self-reflection, and accountability. My goal isn't to tell you how to live your life; it's to help you gain the clarity, tools, and confidence to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

First things first — take a breath. You don't have to come into therapy with everything figured out or know exactly what to say. That's what we're here to work through together. Our first session is about getting to know you beyond the paperwork: what's been going on, what brought you here, and what you'd like to see change. I'm pretty laid-back — sessions with me include meaningful conversation, honest feedback, moments of reflection, and even laughter. Healing is serious work, but that doesn't mean every session has to feel heavy. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful. No judgment, no pressure — just a space where you can show up as you are.
