Great to meet you!

I earned my PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from Iowa State University in 2017, and my master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in 2012.

I have worked with individuals, couples, adults, children, and families in a variety of clinical and community settings, including outpatient behavioral health, intensive outpatient treatment, family services, and child and family systems.

I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in Oregon and as a Mental Health Counselor in Washington and Iowa. My clinical experience has included working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, significant life transitions, and acute psychological distress.

My approach to therapy

My approach is centered on creating a collaborative, compassionate space where we can work together to foster resilience and find a path forward that feels authentic to you.

I draw from approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and other evidence-informed practices.

You are not a diagnosis. Your experiences, relationships, values, strengths, history, and hopes all matter. We won't try to fit you into a particular treatment model.

What you can expect from me

You don’t have to wait for the "right time" or until you have the right words before reaching out. In our first session we'll explore what you've been through, what's worked in the past, and what you think needs to change. Together, we'll create an initial roadmap of where you'd like to go to begin your path forward.
