Great to meet you!

My name is Shannon Taylor, and I am a therapist. My professional background is in school counseling for the past 9 years. As a therapist, I have serviced various ethnicities and age groups specifically, young adults from the ages of ages 12 – 16 and adults ages 20 – 55. Treatment areas include Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Adult Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Family Conflict, Low Self-Esteem, Phase of Life Problems, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to create a safe and warm environment to help the client feel comfortable enough to become vulnerable during the therapeutic process. I inform clients that they are guiding therapy while I facilitate the change process with precise questioning techniques. Active listening is a key component in identifying the best route to take with each unique client.
