Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shantanique Jackson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TFCBT). I specialize in working with youth and young adults ages 10 to 25 who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I also enjoy working collaboratively with families to strengthen communication, support emotional growth, and create lasting change at home.

I take a real and relatable approach to therapy. I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating a space where they can be fully themselves. My sessions are conversational, collaborative, and focused on helping you build insight, coping skills, and confidence.

Outside of therapy, I’m also the author of a children’s book series focused on mental health, which reflects my passion for helping young people understand and express their emotions in healthy ways.

My goal is to make therapy feel less intimidating and more like a supportive space for growth, reflection, and healing for both individuals and families alike.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I believe healing happens when clients feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. I use evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, while also tailoring sessions to each person’s unique story and goals. I focus on building genuine connection and helping clients develop tools they can use in everyday life. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself — and we can do the real work together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and start building rapport. I’ll ask about your background, family history, and what has brought you to therapy, but I also like to keep the conversation open and natural. This time is really about understanding your story and helping you feel comfortable. I’m also open to answering any questions you might have about me, my approach, or what to expect moving forward. I believe in creating a space that feels real, relaxed, and collaborative.
