Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Registered Nurse (RN) with nearly two decades of experience in the mental health field. My background in both behavioral health and nursing allows me to bring a whole-person perspective to therapy, recognizing the ways emotional health, relationships, physical well-being, and life experiences intersect.

I work with adults, couples, and families and specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, , ADHD, OCD, relationship concerns, chronic health issues, and life transitions. I have particular experience working with military members, veterans and their families, first responders, law enforcement professionals, as well as individuals navigating high-stress professions and repeated exposure to trauma.

My goal is to provide a space where you can speak openly, feel respected, and work toward meaningful change without feeling judged and defined by a diagnosis or life circumstances.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in a genuine therapeutic relationship. I take time to understand not only the concerns bringing you to therapy, but also your experiences, relationships, strengths, values, and the patterns that may be influencing how you think, feel, and respond to situations.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based interventions based on your individual needs and goals. I balance insight and reflection with practical strategies you can use outside of therapy. This may include exploring patterns, developing coping and emotional regulation skills, improving communication and relationships, challenging unhelpful thoughts or behaviors, and building greater confidence in navigating difficult experiences.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We will work together to identify what is most helpful for you and adjust therapy as your needs and goals evolve.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin developing a shared understanding of what brings you to therapy. I will ask about your current concerns, relevant history, relationships, strengths, previous experiences with therapy, and what you would like to be different as a result of our work together.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or having clearly defined goals. We can develop those together. I also encourage you to ask questions and share what has or has not worked for you in previous therapy experiences.

By the end of the initial sessions, my goal is for us to have a clearer understanding of your needs, identify priorities for treatment, and begin developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. Most importantly, the first session is about determining whether you feel comfortable with me and whether we are a good fit for working together.
