Great to meet you!
I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) with a strong background in social services and clinical mental health. Prior to becoming licensed, I worked extensively with formerly incarcerated individuals, supporting their reintegration into the community and assisting them in developing prosocial patterns of thinking and behavior. This experience shaped my clinical foundation and strengthened my ability to address resistance to change, antisocial cognitions, and behavioral patterns that interfere with long-term success.
In my work, I utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Interventions to help clients increase motivation, challenge unhelpful belief systems, and develop healthier cognitive and behavioral responses. These approaches are particularly effective in reducing barriers to change and supporting the adoption of more adaptive, prosocial behaviors.
As an LCMFT, I provide a wide range of services, including individual mental health therapy, marriage and family counseling, domestic violence abuser intervention services, and psychoeducational workshops.
Life can be unpredictable and often presents obstacles that challenge one’s ability to reach desired outcomes. While these challenges can feel overwhelming, they can be addressed and overcome. Through a client-centered and collaborative therapeutic approach, we work together to identify concerns, strengthen personal insight, and reconstruct life narratives into stories that better align with clients’ values, goals, and sense of fulfillment.
For clients who desire it, I am also able to incorporate Christian-based principles into the treatment process in a respectful and clinically appropriate manner, ensuring that spiritual beliefs are integrated as a supportive component of care.
