Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families in school, community mental health, psychiatric, crisis, and hospital settings. I earned my social work education through advanced graduate training and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Social Work degree with a concentration in administrative leadership. I am licensed to practice social work in New York, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Throughout my career, I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family conflict, behavioral concerns, academic difficulties, relationship challenges, workplace stress, and major life transitions. I also have extensive experience helping adolescents and young adults improve emotional regulation, confidence, motivation, school engagement, and decision-making.

I understand that personal experiences, family relationships, culture, identity, community, and life circumstances all influence mental health. I strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel heard, understood, and supported. My greatest strengths are my ability to build genuine relationships, listen without judgment, identify practical solutions, and help clients recognize strengths they may not yet see in themselves.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I believe therapy should be a partnership in which clients feel comfortable expressing themselves while also receiving honest feedback, encouragement, and practical guidance. I tailor treatment to each client’s individual needs rather than using the same approach with everyone. Sessions may include exploring patterns of thinking and behavior, developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, processing difficult experiences, strengthening emotional regulation, and establishing realistic goals.

My style is compassionate, supportive, direct, and solution-focused. I provide a nonjudgmental space, but I will also respectfully challenge clients when doing so can support growth. My goal is not to tell clients how to live their lives. Instead, I help them gain clarity, strengthen confidence, develop effective tools, and make decisions that align with their personal values and goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit. Clients can expect a welcoming and conversational environment without pressure to share more than they are comfortable discussing.

We will talk about what brought the client to therapy, the concerns currently affecting their life, relevant personal and family history, existing supports, and what they hope to accomplish through treatment. I will also explain my therapeutic approach, answer questions, and discuss confidentiality and the structure of future sessions.

By the end of the first session, we will begin identifying treatment priorities and developing realistic goals together. Clients should leave with a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process and a sense that they have a supportive partner who is committed to helping them move forward.
