Great to meet you!

Hi I'm Shaquila an LCSW specializing in life transitions, anxiety, women’s issues, and maternal mental health. I empower women of all backgrounds to overcome their past trauma to become the healthiest versions of themselves.

I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support you on that journey.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and tailored to best meet each client's needs. I utilize CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, and a Strengths-Based perspective. I like integrating mindfulness techniques and the client's spiritual or faith-based practices. I provide reflective exercises at the end of our sessions for your continued growth because real change happens in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

You should expect a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, empathetic, and safe. You will receive the appropriate attention and active listening you deserve. You will challenge thoughts and change behaviors that don’t serve you. But most importantly, your feelings and opinions will be heard, valued, and respected in each session.
