Dr. Shawn Fuqua

Richarne Fuqua is affectionately known as Dr. Shawn, The LPC with 22 years of experience, specializes in unearthing generational trauma in women. Her PhD studied African American women and the mother-daughter relationship. She knows a woman needs a safe place to release her concerns and fears. As a EMDR trained and certified therapist Dr. Shawn has seen results with evidence-based treatments and wants you to know “healing is possible.”

The signature approach of Dr. Shawn is to create as space like you are sitting with a friend, before the conversation gets deep. The eclectic mix of training EMDR, affect management and mindfulness techniques. This approach has your needs and well-being at the center of what we do so you can find balance and empowered decision making.

Sometimes you will have homework, sometimes you will be asked to journal but you will always leaving thinking I can do this.
