Great to meet you!

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, anger, trauma and PTSD, life transitions, and the long shadow of high-stress careers — including service members, veterans, first responders, and the people who love them. As a military veteran with decades of experience in law enforcement, corrections, and human resources, I bring a perspective that resonates with clients who've spent their careers in demanding, high-stakes environments — and the families who navigate that life alongside them. My style is direct, goal-oriented, and culturally grounded. I'm not here to talk in circles; I'm here to help you find clarity, build the skills you need, and move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, practical, and honest — but always grounded in what's actually going on in your life. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, and a strengths-based lens — but I tailor each session to what you actually need that week. Some sessions feel like sleeves-rolled-up problem-solving; others go deeper into the patterns and parts of yourself that have been driving the bus. Wherever we go, my goal is the same: leave you with concrete tools, a clearer picture of what's been weighing on you, and one or two things you can put to work between now and our next session.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is mostly about getting to know each other. We'll talk through what brought you in, what feels most pressing right now, and what you're hoping to change — at a pace that's comfortable for you. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive. Over time, you can expect to leave our sessions with a clearer understanding of yourself, your triggers and patterns, and a growing toolkit of coping strategies you can actually use. My goal is for you to walk out each session with at least one thing that's a little more clear, a little more workable, than when you walked in.
