Great to meet you!

As a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring over 14 years of experience in providing therapeutic services and counseling in diverse and challenging environments. My specialization lies in supporting individuals and families impacted by addiction, intimate partner violence, and the criminal justice system, including pre and post incarceration. My approach is holistic, client-centered, and trauma-informed, with a strong focus on empowering clients to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach emphasizes empathy, respect, and collaboration. Discussing and incorporating your faith is always welcomed.

Extensive experience working with individuals within the criminal justice system, offering pre- and post-incarceration counseling and addressing the emotional and social challenges of reentry.

Compassionate guidance for families impacted by a loved one’s incarceration, offering coping strategies and support in navigating the prison system, probation/parole, court programs, as well as emotional and logistical challenges of separation.

Skilled with individuals with substance use disorders, using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and harm reduction strategies.

Expertise in supporting survivors of IPV, including trauma-informed counseling, safety planning, and crisis intervention. Experienced in working with both survivors and perpetrators of violence to break cycles of abuse and promote healthy relationships.

Working with parents facing challenges in raising their children, especially those affected by substance abuse, trauma, foster care, or involvement with the criminal justice system.

What you can expect from me

A large part of the first session is about creating a safe and comfortable environment, building rapport, gaining understanding of your situation, providing a space of no judgment and active in listening.
