Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Shelly Hansen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping you clear the blocks holding you back from your most vibrant, preferred life. Whether you are navigating life transitions, processing past trauma, or seeking a deeper connection to your authentic self, I am here to guide you toward transformational change. We all encounter mental or emotional blocks that prevent us from experiencing true joy. These blocks often stem from unprocessed, disturbing life events.

Since 2004, I have served my community in diverse roles, including eleven years supporting children and families through the Head Start Program, working as an Elementary School Counselor in the Kellogg School District, and providing residential care at The Children's Village. Outside of the office, I am a mother, grandmother, writer, singer, and lifelong dog lover. I firmly believe nature is the ultimate therapist, and you can usually find me recharging near a river, lake, or waterfall.

My approach to therapy

My unique approach blends traditional therapy with life coaching through a self-created method I call "Soul Sprinkles"—tapping into those full-body tingles we feel when something speaks directly to our soul. By clearing your emotional blocks, we allow your inner spark to flow, making room for magnificent life changes. To help you heal, I utilize a powerful blend of evidence-based modalities tailored to your needs. These include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting, Narrative Therapy, Aurora Hill's Dreamscape Consciousness (dreamwork), mindful meditation, and solution-focused conversations. I am also actively integrating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into my practice. I joyfully work with both adolescents and adults.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will get to know each other, address your questions, and discuss what I can offer you. From there, we will use solution-focused conversations to clarify exactly what your ideal life looks and feels like, creating a clear map for our work together.
