Great to meet you!

Dedicated Therapist, Educator, and Lifelong Learner

My path to therapy wasn’t a straight line—it was a journey of persistence, family, and a commitment to helping others navigate their complex stories.

Born and raised in Tulsa, I earned a Psychology degree from Christian Brothers University before returning to Oklahoma to serve as an educator. With a second degree in Special Education focused on Emotional Disturbances, I spent years in the classroom supporting children and families through unique emotional challenges.

While I always felt called to therapy, I prioritized my roles as a mother and teacher in a small ranching community. Following a divorce, I turned that transition into a new beginning. As a single parent, I balanced full-time work and night school, graduating with my Master’s degree and a 4.0 GPA.

Real Experience for Real Life I bring clinical expertise in CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, but also a wealth of lived experience. Today, I am remarried in a vibrant blended family with eight children and three grandkids. I intimately understand the dynamics of divorce, blended families, and the balancing act of personal growth. My family is my world, and this groundedness allows me to show up for you with authentic empathy and practical wisdom.

My approach to therapy

My practice is built on three core pillars to ensure our sessions are both deeply supportive and practically effective:

  • You are the Center (Person-Centered):Healing begins with a relationship built on trust and radical empathy. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be truly heard and understood exactly as you are.
  • Rewiring the Pattern (CBT): We will work together to identify the "stuck" thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back. By using Cognitive Behavioral techniques, I’ll help you develop practical, everyday skills to shift your perspective and reclaim control over your reactions.
  • Focusing on the Future (Solution-Focused): While we honor your past, we won’t get lost in it. My approach is goal-oriented; we will identify what is already working in your life and use those strengths to create a clear, actionable roadmap toward the life you want to live.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by current stressors or looking to break long-standing patterns, we will move at your pace to create lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

First session we will discuss what brought you to counseling and dive right in to building a rapport and trusting relationship. We can go as fast or slow as need for you to feel comfortable.
