Great to meet you!

I have been working in the mental health field since 2017, initially as a Certified Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist (CBRS) serving children and adults, and subsequently as a licensed therapist. My credentials include certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Clinical Certification as a Level 2 Trauma Professional. I am also in the process of obtaining my Play Therapy Certification. My practice incorporates a variety of modalities and interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for chronic pain and trauma.

My approach to therapy

Counseling is a process that requires time and commitment, rather than a quick fix. I encourage you to understand that effective treatment and symptom management typically involve more than just one or two sessions. As a Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist, I focus on building essential skills in Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. This approach fosters a solid foundation for personal growth and equips you with the necessary tools to navigate life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

I collaborate with clients to identify and address their challenges, believing everyone can effect change with support. I prioritize authenticity, positivity, and empathy to foster a constructive environment. As a C-DBT therapist, I offer homework and personalized tools to promote skill mastery and reduce long-term therapy. My approach emphasizes education and flexible practice, encouraging ongoing sessions as long as they remain beneficial.
