Hello! My name is Sherie Posie. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. I'm a graduateof the University of Detroit Mercy with Master of Arts in Community Mental Health Counseling. I have over 15 years of experience working in the fields of Mental Health, Psychology, Counseling and Human Services. I see both adolecents and adults in my practice. I offer both in person and telehealth counseling.
Life presents us with different challenges.There are times when having someone there to take that journey with you is beneficial. I am here to help you through it. I have experience working with teens, adolescents, adults, seniors, men, women, couples, and families. I specialize in grief, trauma, depression, panic and anxiety disorders, sexual abuse, domestic violence, issues affecting the LGBTQ community, homeless populations, and people of color.
In my practice compassion and empathy are an integral part of the therapeutic process. Through therapy, I assist my clients in developing strong cognitive and emotional wellness; All while coaching them through obstacles of adversity. I firmly believe that individuals have the Power to create the change they want and need in their lives. My desire is to be an agent of change by providing access to healing.
