Great to meet you!

My name is Sherrona Wiggins, and I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a nursing career that began in 2008. Over the years, I have worked extensively in community settings, supporting individuals through addiction recovery, helping youth navigate behavioral challenges, and providing care for individuals with a wide range of mental health needs.

I believe in a comprehensive, person-centered approach to mental health care—one that integrates evidence-based practices with compassion, respect, and an understanding of each person’s unique journey. My goal is to empower clients by fostering resilience, encouraging healing, and supporting personal growth.

When you work with me, you can expect a safe and supportive environment where your voice is heard, your experiences are respected, and your goals guide our care plan. I am committed to walking alongside you in your journey toward mental wellness and development.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care should be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. My approach focuses on:

Person-Centered Care – I listen closely to your story, experiences, and goals, ensuring your voice is at the center of your treatment plan.

Evidence-Based Practices – I draw from proven therapies and treatments that support healing, stability, and growth.

Holistic Perspective – I look beyond symptoms to understand the whole person—your environment, relationships, lifestyle, and strengths.

Respect and Compassion – I value each client’s unique journey and provide care with empathy, dignity, and non-judgment.

Empowerment and Resilience – My goal is not only to help manage symptoms, but also to strengthen your ability to cope, adapt, and thrive.

Ultimately, I see care as a partnership—we work together to create a plan that supports both immediate needs and long-term well-being.

What you can expect from me

When working with me, clients can expect to leave sessions with:

Practical tools and strategies to manage symptoms, cope with stress, and navigate daily challenges.

A deeper understanding of their mental health, including how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect.

Personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Support and encouragement in building resilience, confidence, and hope for the future.

A safe, nonjudgmental space to express themselves openly and feel truly heard.

My goal is for every client to walk away from each session feeling more supported, empowered, and equipped to move forward on their journey toward wellness.
