Great to meet you!

I received a Masters' degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in Myrtle Beach, SC, in 2012. I hold a BS in Psychology from Fayetteville State University (1998). I am currently licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NC. I have five years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and over twenty-five years of experience in mental health. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and the military with trauma, behavioral and relationship problems.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is from a diverse viewpoint; however, the main theoretical approaches used are (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. These models are client and family-centered and cover all ages and stages of life. The clients and families may have the following symptoms/behaviors include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.

What you can expect from me

I will ask questions about your presenting concerns, as well as your history and background. Most likely, you'll find yourself talking about your current symptoms or struggles, as well as saying a bit about your relationships, your interests, your strengths, and your goals.
