Great to meet you!

Welcome to Authentic Impressions Counseling! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Oregon with a passion for helping people heal from trauma. I have a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies, a Master’s in Counselor Education, and specialize in trauma, including PTSD. My approach combines creative arts with various counseling techniques to create a supportive environment for both youth and adults.

I’ve received specialized training in EMDR (a trauma therapy technique) and have experience in family counseling, substance abuse, and gender studies. I also supervise future counselors and have served on boards focused on gender equity and domestic violence. Currently, I work as a mental health specialist in a school district, supporting students and families.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to working with individuals and families is centered on a holistic, collaborative process. I believe in the unique strengths, internal resources, and wisdom each person holds, which can be harnessed for growth and authenticity.

By combining Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Creative Arts, I help people understand how their thoughts and actions shape their reality. I guide them to make intentional changes in thoughts and behavior to enhance their lives and embrace their true selves.

Through learning, practicing new coping skills, and gaining insight in a safe, supportive space, individuals can lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

What you can expect from our first session

In a counseling session with me, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where you're heard and supported without judgment. We’ll work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns at your pace.

My goal is to create a safe space where you can express yourself freely, helping you gain insight, clarity, and practical tools to navigate life's challenges. Whether you’re dealing with stress, relationship issues, or personal growth, I’m here to guide and empower you every step of the way.

Each session is tailored to meet your needs, so you can feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. You’ll leave each session feeling more connected to your true self and ready to take on the world!
