Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. With advanced training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions, I specialize in supporting patients dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and other behavioral health challenges.

My approach is patient-centered and holistic, focusing on the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their treatment journey.

Through JJDLIGHTCARE, I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and personalized treatment planning. I am committed to reducing stigma around mental health and improving access to quality care within the community.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is patient-centered, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe that mental health treatment is most effective when it is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, values, and life experiences.

I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing openly. Building trust is a priority, and I take time to listen carefully, understand concerns, and involve clients in every step of their treatment plan.

My care model integrates comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication management when appropriate, and supportive therapeutic techniques. I emphasize education, helping clients better understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and progress so they can make informed decisions about their care.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a comprehensive and welcoming introduction to care. This initial visit is focused on understanding you as a whole person—not just your symptoms.

We will begin with a detailed psychiatric evaluation, where I’ll ask about your current concerns, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, and any previous treatments. This helps me gain a full picture of your needs and goals.

The session is also an opportunity for you to share your experiences openly, ask questions, and discuss what you hope to achieve through treatment. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable and heard.

By the end of the appointment, we will review my clinical impressions and begin developing a personalized treatment plan. This may include recommendations for medication (if appropriate), therapy, lifestyle adjustments, or other supportive strategies.

You will leave the session with a better understanding of your mental health and clear next steps for moving forward. My goal is for you to feel supported, informed, and confident about your care from the very beginning.
