The InnerLightTM Model
The InnerLightTM Model is a five-stage transformative healing model grounded in self-awareness. It combines several evidence-based practices (EBPs) that are trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally relevant, allowing individuals to engage in change in a way that feels safe, respectful, and aligned with their lived experience.
Rather than pushing for immediate outcomes, the model focuses on increasing awareness and understanding across key areas such as:
- How you respond to change and uncertainty
- Where resistance or avoidance may show up
- What supports flexibility, resilience, and emotional regulation
- How energy, motivation, and engagement fluctuate over time
At its core, the InnerLightTM Model is guided by a simple principle:
Transformation creates choice. Choice creates transformative change.
The five stages are designed to support reflection, insight, and intentional action at a pace that honors individual readiness. Readiness capacities such as adaptability, optimism, confidence, tolerance for the unknown, adventurousness, passion, and drive are explored not as labels, but as informative signals—helping identify where support, attention, or stabilization may be most helpful.
