Great to meet you!
I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, anxiety, depression, difficult relationships, or experiences that have changed how they approach themselves, others, and life. Many of my clients already understand why they are struggling, but insight alone has not helped them create the change they want. They are looking for more than a place to talk. They want to understand what keeps them stuck, learn what to do differently, and build meaningful change that lasts.
My approach is active, collaborative, practical, and genuinely human. I will not sit silently while you do all the work or occasionally ask, “How does that make you feel?” We will talk honestly about what happened, how it continues to affect your life, and what needs to change. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while adapting our work to your experiences, strengths, needs, and goals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience treating trauma and complex mental health concerns. I have particular experience working with veterans, military families, and adults affected by painful, high-stress, or life-changing experiences. I am also a veteran, a veteran’s spouse, a mom, and an avid scuba diver. Those roles do not mean I will assume I understand your experience, but they have given me a real appreciation for responsibility, transition, relationships, military culture, and staying grounded when life gets complicated.
I bring warmth, honesty, humor, and directness into therapy. You do not need to perform, find the “right” words, or have everything figured out before you begin. We will work together to understand what shaped your patterns, challenge what no longer serves you, and help you create a life that feels more stable, intentional, and authentically yours.
