Great to meet you!

I have worked with clients for almost 30 years in many different practice settings that include inpatient and outpatient mental health. I help clients to address relationship issues, difficulties with regulating emotions, grief, trauma, substance abuse, and more.

My approach to therapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy- both evidence based therapies proven effective to improve quality of life and address very challenging life situations. I am very accepting with a sense of humor to create a comfortable environment. As a musician, I have an interest in exploring the use of creative outlets. Also, I can work from a Christian perspective if desired.

What you can expect from me

I create an environment for the client to feel heard, accepted, and sometimes challenged. Goals typically include learning new skills to regulate emotions, and addressing past trauma and distress, I also provide education about mental health as related to overall health and various ways to improve quality of life.
