Great to meet you!

I am here to help people process and manage life transitions that may have led to feelings of anxiety, depression, worry, fear, and low self-esteem. Life transitions, such as becoming an empty-nester, divorce, loss of a loved one, retirement or even unwanted job loss, can be disorienting and confusing. Unhealthy ways of trying to cope can develop such as increased alcohol use or other ways to distract us from feelings such as reliance on social media. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space to begin unpacking some of those feelings to start exploring healthier ways to cope and thrive.

My approach to therapy

My approach is down-to-earth and practical. I utilize aspects of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Those elements help to bring to light unhealthy thoughts and behaviors as well as meaningful reasons to change unhealthy patterns. Then I partner with you to develop and reach attainable goals.

What you can expect from me

In our rst session together, I'll spend time really getting to know you, what brought you in, and what you're hoping will be different. I'll always make sure you feel safe rst, because that's the foundation everything else is built on. From there, we'll work as a team to build a plan that actually ts your life, not a generic one. You can expect me to be direct when it helps and gentle when you need it. By the end of our rst few sessions, you should walk away feeling heard, a little lighter, and like you nally have someone in your corner who isn't afraid to do the real work with you.
