Great to meet you!

Thank you for stopping by by. I've been a Social Worker for 23 years, primarily as a therapist. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The College of William and Mary and my Masters in Social Work from Howard University. I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Sandtray Therapy, Child Centered Play therapy (CCPT), Trauma Work and some Art Therapy and mindfulness. I'm always expanding my expertise and tools of the trade to work with people with many different types of needs. Executive Functioning Coaching, Social Skills with people with differing abilities, even some Performance Therapy. I believe a well rounded Social Worker doesn't make the client fit the technique, but rather have an arsenal of tools that match client's goals and style of communication. And if sometimes that means prescribing "homework" dancing to your favorite get up and go song then that's what we'll do.

My approach to therapy

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self. I take a collaborative approach—meeting you where you are and working at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we'll explore what's been weighing on you, build practical coping tools & strengthen your sense of self. This helps you feel more grounded and in control.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect me to be open, friendly and professional. Expect me to be human, see you as human and get to know why you're there and what strengths you already have that we can use to develop your goals. I'm a listener and motivational. Our first session will help you establish what makes you tick, what areas we will work on and how many ways there are to get there. And.... I'll find that smile.
