Great to meet you!
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 19 years of experience in mental health, addiction, corrections, and social work. I earned my Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School and Bachelor’s degrees in Corrections and Alcohol and Drug Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
I specialize in trauma and PTSD, women’s issues, anxiety, attachment and relationship concerns, grief, self-esteem, spirituality, and the lasting effects of difficult family dynamics—including mother wounds. My approach is trauma-informed, direct, compassionate, and often includes a sense of humor. I integrate attachment-based therapy, Internal Family Systems, cognitive and solution-focused approaches, somatic work, mindfulness, and polyvagal theory based on each client’s individual needs. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian, faith-integrated counseling.
