Great to meet you!

Stacey earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University, where she also received a certificate in Systemic Multicultural Counseling. During her graduate training, Stacey served as the graduate assistant for the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Compliance and the graduate research assistant on a study centered on the transition to parenthood, the findings of which she co-presented at the American Family Therapy Academy’s national conference.

My approach to therapy

Stacey completed advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Family-Centered Treatment, with a focus on family systems, addressing intergenerational trauma, providing social justice-informed and culturally sensitive practices, and utilizing mindfulness-based interventions. Stacey came to be passionate about mental health as a result of her own transformative, life-saving experiences in therapy as a teenager and young adult.

What you can expect from me

She truly believes that when people are supported, equipped, and empowered, they are capable of navigating transitions successfully, facing challenges with courage, and making deep meaning of their experiences. Stacey believes in the power of relationships, authentic connection, and community above all else. She works to establish a straightforward, trusting, person-to-person relationship with all of her clients and works to bring humor and empathy into every session.
