Great to meet you!

I have been a clinical social worker for 20 years and have learned certain patterns that seem to occur in people's lives. I draw on these experiences to guide clients toward more effective communication styles to be better heard by others. I understand we are susceptible to falling into familiar and sometimes destructive thinking patterns. I can often help clients identify where these thinking patterns derive. This is the beginning of the work of taking power and control back into our lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy works if the client is actively engaged and willing to look inward and want to change. I am an active participant in the therapeutic process. I use talk therapy to better understand who you are and CBT to help teach coping strategies to manage destructive thinking and anxiety. I am also trained in EMDR.

What you can expect from me

Clients often feel supported and listened to when working with me. The hope is that you will feel empowered with a better understanding of why you think the way you think. You may be surprised. You will also leave with a different approach to communication with others that may positively impact your life.
