Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Stacy Wright and I have been a practicing therapist for over 22 years, graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2000. Much of my experience has been with individuals in crisis and survivors of trauma, though I have worked with a number of populations with a variety of issues. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Limited Licensed Psychologist as well as a practitioner of EMDR

My approach to therapy

I am a very thorough clinician as I like to get a picture of the person I am working with a hole. I believe that mental health and physical health are connected. That means I encourage things such as the stress relief that comes from meditation, yoga and various forms of physical activity. I tend to be a very affirming therapist, I am an ally, a support and I do find the use of EMDR to be a very helpful tool.

What you can expect from me

The relationship I have with my clients is one I take very seriously, as it is important that you feel comfortable enough to say anything during our time together. While I offer tools to assist with a variety of life stressors, I also find the personable approach and the occasional use of light humor as a means of connecting with my clients. It is my hope that you leave every session feeling better than you did before.
