Great to meet you!

My name is Stephanie Dvorak and I maintain a small practice just east of Asheville. I have more than 20 years experience working with children, youth, adults and families with varying needs. I completed my graduate education in Colorado and moved to North Carolina after graduation. I have lived here ever since and remain committed to this rural area and needs of those living in this and the surrounding areas. My professional focus is treating trauma in its many forms.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am trained in evidenced based practices that help to reduce symptoms of trauma. My goal is to empower individuals to regain the control they often feel they have lost due to stressful and/or traumatic life experiences. I am solution-focused and reality-based. My goal is to help clients experience the happiness and freedom they very much deserve.

What you can expect from our first session

I strive to create an environment that is laid back, safe and supportive. I hope to share humor and celebrate successes as individuals move through their goals and regain mastery of their world. Individuals can expect to have a personalized experience, learning skills that help them to maintain their success through future challenges.
