Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Empower Psychotherapy... with more than 15 years of experience providing mental health services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, adolescent and young adult mental health, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, family conflict, relationship difficulties, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in family systems, drawing from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah State University and bring experience across residential treatment, community mental health, juvenile justice, outpatient care, private practice, and telehealth.

My approach to therapy

When you work with me... we’ll look beyond the immediate challenges you’re facing to better understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be contributing to them. My style is collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, with a focus on helping you build insight and practical skills that can support meaningful, lasting change. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, family conflict, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Depending on your needs, I draw from approaches such as EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, family systems, attachment-based approaches, IFS-informed interventions, and Narrative Therapy.

What you can expect from me

My process begins... with understanding what you’re struggling with as well as the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped those challenges. From there, I work collaboratively with you to increase insight, strengthen practical coping and emotional regulation skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful changes that can carry into everyday life. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in family systems, while incorporating evidence-based therapies that fit the concerns described in your care, including EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.
