Great to meet you!

I grew up interested in helping others which led me to pursue education in the field of psychology, culminating in a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Catholic University of America. I work with you to develop an emotionally safe relationship where you can explore your feelings, and experiences and enhance your personal growth. I offer individual therapy for adults targeting these areas: trauma, life stage transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy depends on your needs and the concerns you choose to work on. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapeutic interventions and motivational interviewing methods while integrating mindfulness and breathing strategies. These approaches help me focus on the feelings and thoughts that affect how you view and respond to your world. In our work together, I support activation of your inner resources and help you work toward goals most important to you.

What you can expect from me

My clients leave sessions with feelings of having been heard and having had their needs and challenges acknowledged and understood. Often clients have a sense of clarity regarding the issue(s) they bring up and how they may manage them more effectively. At times, I suggest activities you might do between sessions to enhance the effect of our sessions together.
