Great to meet you!

Whatever brought you here — anxiety that won't quiet down, depression, the weight of a trauma you've been carrying, or a season that's asking more of you than you have to give — you don't have to work through it alone. I've been in the counseling profession for over 25 years, and in that time I've sat with people through just about everything. I work with women and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief, relationship struggles, and the emotional side of chronic illness, along with the specific challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and infertility. I'm open-minded and genuinely embrace clients from all lifestyles, cultures, and belief systems — you won't need to explain or defend who you are here.

My approach to therapy

We'll start from wherever you are right now and move toward the goals you set for yourself — not goals I hand you. I have training in multiple treatment approaches, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and I match the method to what you're actually facing rather than running everyone through the same plan. For trauma, EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based way to help your brain process painful experiences so they stop running the show. And after 25 years, I've learned that a little humor along the way makes hard work more bearable — this doesn't have to feel heavy every minute.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly about understanding your story. I'll ask about what brought you in, any previous experiences with therapy, and what you're hoping will feel different — then we'll set some goals together and get clear on what you want from our work. There's no pressure to share everything at once or to have it figured out ahead of time. By the end, you'll have a sense of how we'd work together and a starting point, and I hope you'll leave feeling heard and a little more hopeful than when you arrived.
