Great to meet you!

Life is hard. Many seek quick resolutions to deeply impacting negative experiences. Steve seeks to affirm the uniqueness of each individual and to help clients realize their inner strengths and goodness in order to flourish. Steve is a curious companion that wants to come along side you in this current season of your life to assist you in meeting your personal goals. He considers it an honor to enter the lives of his clients and witness their healing, growth, and development.

My approach to therapy

Steve focuses on promoting deeply rooted, lasting change by taking a holistic perspective. Since each client has a unique story, his theoretical approach is shaped from an integrative model. He incorporates evidence based psychological theory with neurological research and a physiological knowledge base. He seeks to personalize services to blend the individual strengths unique to each client with the theory and research specific to the reasons that brings that client to seek services. Steve takes into consideration that we are social creatures, and that minority stress, adverse childhood events and the culture of our greater community all impact us.

What you can expect from me

Steve blends a variety of research based techniques, often pulling from Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Systems, Existential, Experiential, and Somatic Models. This perspective stresses the importance of understanding the personal meaning created throughout each of our lives. Often this meaning is embedded in unconscious, symbolic and socialized beliefs and behaviors that can serve as forces in our lives that often we “can't explain” or we “just feel.”
