My approach to therapy

If you’re feeling stuck in a cycle of worry, burnout, or low mood, you’re looking for more than just a listener—you’re looking for a roadmap. My work is built on a practical, solution-focused approach designed to help you regain your footing. Whether we’re addressing trauma, low-mood, persistent stress, or the weight of life transitions, we will focus on what you can do in the here-and-now to feel better.

What you can expect from me

Our initial focus will be identifying the self-defeating beliefs that fuel anxiety, stress, or low mood. In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), these are called "cognitive distortions"—mental habits that warp how we view ourselves and our circumstances. By shining a light on these patterns early on, we can begin to shift how you feel.

Gradually, our work will transition from changing internal mindsets to building external strengths. We will focus on developing assertive communication skills and practicing new behaviors that you can confidently deploy in your day-to-day life and relationships.

Because real growth happens between our appointments, I treat therapy as an interactive process. Throughout our time together, I will share curated resources—including specific articles, books, podcasts, and video streams—designed to complement our sessions and give you continuous, practical support outside of therapy.
