Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

You may be the person everyone counts on—the strong one, the helper, the caregiver, the first responder, or the person who has learned how to keep functioning no matter what life throws at you. But being good at surviving doesn't always mean you're doing well underneath it.

I'm a veteran and psychotherapist who works especially well with first responders, veterans, helping professionals, and high-functioning adults struggling with trauma, chronic stress, relationship patterns, identity, grief, burnout, or feeling disconnected from themselves.

You don't have to be in crisis to deserve help. Sometimes therapy begins because you're simply tired of carrying everything the same way.

My approach to therapy

I won't just sit back, nod, and ask, "How does that make you feel?" I believe good therapy should help you understand why you respond the way you do—and give you practical ways to change what is no longer working.

My style is direct, compassionate, curious, and collaborative. I use trauma-informed and nervous-system-based approaches, including Polyvagal Theory, somatic work, CBT, ACT, and narrative approaches. We'll look at the patterns underneath your symptoms, not just try to make the symptoms disappear.

That might mean understanding why your nervous system stays on alert, why you shut down during conflict, why you keep seeking validation from people who can't give you what you need, or why slowing down can feel harder than pushing through.

Therapy with me balances compassion with accountability. I will support you, but I will also challenge you when challenge is what helps you grow.

What you can expect from me

Our first sessions are about understanding you, not reducing you to a diagnosis.

We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you've survived, what's working, what's not, the relationships and experiences that shaped you, and what you actually want your life to look like.

You don't need a perfectly organized story. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong. And you don't have to perform strength in therapy.

Together, we'll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, understand what your mind and nervous system have learned to do to protect you, and develop concrete goals for change.

My goal isn't to turn you into a different person. It's to help you become more connected to yourself—so that strength becomes something you can choose rather than something you have to perform every day.
