Great to meet you!

As a therapist and as a person, I am kind, down-to-earth, knowledgeable, insightful, hard-working, and conscientious, with a sense of humor. I have had 21 years of clinical experience since obtaining my doctorate in psychology. My specialties are communication, relationships, trauma, life goals, moving forward, and a strength-based approach.

My approach to therapy

First, I listen to the client's narrative and current concerns. I focus on the symptoms, specific areas of struggle, and any special areas the client may emphasize. As the therapy progresses, I develop a customized approach, including participation in appropriate exercises and using helpful resources from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, trauma-focused strategies, and strength-based approaches.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to make progress, to experience more peace of mind, and to be validated, respected, supported, accepted, and recognized for their strengths, courage, and resilience. They can expect to learn strategies and skills to help them make progress and to use during critical moments going forward. They can expect to participate in some brief meditations if they choose to do so.
